Duncan Goodrich ran 3:00:47 in his marathon debut at Mountains to Beach in CA.
Laurel LeMoigne was the women’s winner at the Capitol Hill Classic (slightly longer than) 10k in 37:28.
Joe Emerson ran 39:05 to finish 2nd in the 50-59 AG at the St. Michael’s Running Festival (considerably shorter than) 10k (the race course was about 5 1/2 miles….we had runners involved in several course screw ups this week).
Ashton Blackwell was 3rd overall at the Marine Corps Historic Half Marathon in 1:10:51 (but he and several of the other top 15 finishers were led off the course and ran about 1/2 mile short) and Matt Stout ran a 1:24:55 PR (he covered the correct distance).
David Resnick finished 2nd overall in the Harper’s Ferry Half Marathon in 1:30:03.
Tisha Wheeler was the women’s winner at the Fletcher’s Cove Parkrun 5k in 21:49 and Lorenzo Forni was 5th overall in the men’s race in 20:52.
At the Lawyers Have Heart 5k, Philippe Rolly was 7th overall, 4th master and 1st in the 50-59 AG in 16:36 and Nic Franklin ran 21:53. At the Lawyers Have Heart 10k, Greg Mariano was 9th overall in 32:56, Lindsay Wilkins ran 40:15 to finish as 1st master and 7th overall among the women, and Chris Carney ran 41:17.
Erica Nemmers had an impressive outing at the Bernard Williams Invitational Track Meet, winning the masters division and 50-59 AG in 4 different events; 100m in 16.48, 200m in 34.25, 400m in 1:15.50 and 800m in 2:54.78. Back in 2009-2010, Erica ran the still-standing CAR women’s 800m record of 2:13.0 and also ran 2:59:34 at Chicago Marathon. She’s got some range.
