At the Alexandria Turkey Trot (8k), Matt Deters led the way for our CAR men’s finishers in 27:01, followed by Philippe Rolly in 27:22 (1st in the 50-59 AG), David Kent in 29:12 (2nd in the 50-59 AG), Kenny Rayner in 31:54, Matt Stout in 33:42 and Matt Purdin in 36:46. Melanie Wilcox led our women’s finishers in 30:25 (13th place overall), followed by Sharon Donovan (one of the Original CARs from 20 years ago!) in 36:20, Elyse Shimada in 42:55, Sarah Haut in 45:20, Liz Bolton (you can all thank Liz for the design of the CAR logo) in 56:57, and Erin Toner in 1:28:23 (that one deserves 3 or 4 asterisks, and maybe some kind of award if we ever get around to doing a post-holiday awards party).

At the Bethesda Turkey Chase 10k, Eve Hoffman was 2nd overall female in 40:24 and Larry Grossman was the winner of the 60-64 AG in 41:21.

At the Arlington Turkey Trot 5k, Dan Lawver ran 18:07 (13th overall), Nathan Napier ran 19:36, Chris Carney ran 21:33 and Ari Brose won the 60-69 AG in 23:23.

At the Fairfax City Turkey Trot 5k, Tom Rammelkamp had what may have been the most impressive performance of the day when he pushed 50+ pounds worth of Rammelkids in a Double BOB stroller to an 18:40 4th place overall finish, while mom Kristin Donlin ran 23:37, good for 18th overall among the women. 

Regina Black finished 10th overall in Pittsburgh’s 5 Mile Turkey Trot in 35:09, which was a 3 minute PR for Regina. 

Alex Peterson was 2nd overall in the Harbor Point (Stamford, CT) Turkey Trot 5k in 17:31. 

Dave Lett was 2nd in the 50-54 AG at the Reston Turkey Trot 5k in 20:18. 

Alex Fleischner was 14th overall in 18:25 at the Ridgefield (CT) Turkey Trot 5k. 

Joe Emerson was 2nd in the 50-59 AG in 21:48 at the Easton (MD) Turkey Trot 5k. 

Lili Peng ran 22:22 at the Tri Valley Turkey Burnoff 5k in CA.
