Today’s header photo is of Cody Hodgins on his way to a 2:41:35 PR in yesterday’s Philadelphia Marathon.

Our luck with race day weather continued this past weekend and we once again had a lot of great performances. In the Philadelphia Marathon, Cody Hodgins led our finishers in 2:41:35 (PR; #26 on the all-time CAR men’s marathon performers list), followed by Hannah Guerard in 2:56:08 (45th overall female; splits 1:28:43/1:27:25) and Anna Bernal in 3:28:41 (which I believe is her first marathon since 2015 MCM, so it’s a PR for this decade). In the Philadelphia Half Marathon, Billy Coffin led our finishers in 1:25:09 (PR), followed by Eve Hoffman in 1:27:51 (PR; 6th place in the 35-39 AG), Mary Legere in 1:53:41 (9th place in the 60-64 AG) and Pat Neff in 2:14:06 (7th place in the 65-69 AG). Trevin Glasgow did some pacing work for a friend and ran 1:56:58. In the Philadelphia 8k, Matt Purdin ran 31:39 and Cris Burbach ran 36:18 (4th place in the 45-49 AG).

In non-Philly race action, Jessica Chin Somers was 3rd overall female at the NYCRuns Go Nuts for Donuts 10k (every finisher gets a donut, so everyone’s a winner) in 44:34.

Callie Wallace ran 19:47 at the Nike Southeast Regional XC Championship (5k).

At the Jennifer Bush-Lawson 5k, future CAR Caden Wilkins (7 years old), with pacing help from mom Lindsay and big brother Hudson, ran his first ever 5k in 23:45! And he did it without super shoes.

Congrats to all!
