Laurel LeMoigne was the women’s winner at the Colonial Half Marathon in Williamsburg in 1:20:27, 3 minutes and 44 seconds ahead of 2nd place finisher Anne Mazur who was a 2020 US Olympic Trials qualifier in the marathon. That’s a fantastic performance for Laurel on a really tough course! Laurel’s husband Gildas LeMoigne, ran 1:36:36 to finish 5th in the 40-44 AG.

Callie Wallace finished 6th in the 1600m in 5:31.39 and 8th in the 800m in 2:30:36 at the DCSAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. Callie, as the only member of her Maret School track team, also finished 12th out of 14 scoring teams (26 teams were entered in the meet) in the team competition. If she can learn how to pole vault and maybe throw the shot put before next year’s meet, I think being a top 5 team is possible for her.

Congrats to Laurel, Gildas and Callie!
