At the Reston New Year’s Day 5k (which was slightly longer than 5k…it appears that they messed up the turnaround point on the W&OD Trail and sent everyone out a little too far), Patrick Carter finished 6th overall in 17:40, Laurel LeMoigne was 3rd overall in the women’s race in 18:51, Larry Grossman won the men’s 55-59 AG in 21:35 and Regina Black was 3rd in the women’s 30-34 AG in 24:04. Laurel’s 10 year old daughter Gaby (30:14) did pacesetting duties for her 8 year old brother Tristan (30:21) in his first ever 5k.
