Extreme weather was a factor in all of our race results this week. Our youngest CAR, Callie Wallace, ran a 20:41 PR and picked up the women’s win at the frigidly cold Lucky Leprechaun 5k in Reston. Laura Chipkin took a spill on the ice on the C&O Canal Towpath on her way to running 1:46:32 to finish as the 8th overall female (4th place master) at the St. Patrick’s Half Marathon. Ari Brose braved the rain, snow and wind (and hills) at the Four Courts 4 Miler to win the 50-59 AG in 32:09. At the other end of the weather spectrum, David Resnick ran 47:14 at the Al Areen 10k in Sakhir, Bahrain in 100 degree heat (with a sandstorm and some close encounters with wild animals thrown in to make it more challenging). Congrats to all!
